Tired: Source Of Rest

Life’s strains and burdens often weigh us down, from hectic schedules to emotional strains, making us all tired.

We all face weariness, but there’s solace in God’s gift of rest. Amidst challenges, only He provides lasting tranquility. Find solace in the following poem.

Tired man sleeping on his desk

Tired

Eyelids seemingly dropping down and up.

Eye sockets desperate to close tight.

Eyeballs are partially open and wide.

Eyebrows bouncing like a yo-yo.

Blinking eyes dancing throughout the night.

Broken thoughts appealing for rest and sleep.

I am tired.

Mind in a battle about life.

Thoughts in wonder about where I will go after life ends.

Contemplations of where I came from?

Analyzing what I have done on earth, lived or existed?

Criticizing and condemning all mistakes made.

Evaluating if I have fulfilled my purpose.

I am tired.

Restless soul wondering about made plans.

Unsettled in who I am; character perceptions undefined.

Full of hopeless, moving feelings.

Housing endless changing emotions.

Sustaining countless unreasonable reasons.

Host for quickly forgotten memories.

I am tired.

I am in the heart; the innermost part of your being.

The temple room of God Almighty.

The dwelling place of the Holy Spirit when welcomed.

The resting altar for my presence in all people.

The heavenly breath headquarters; clouded with my glory forever.

It is the communication center with God.

“I made the heart, when you depend on me, you find true rest and peace.”

Exhausted man lying on a box

Source of tired in the Bible

Matthew 11:28-30

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

1 Kings 8:56

“Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.

Jeremiah 31:25

For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”

Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
