Our lives are opposites
I now smile but had an ugly frowning face for a long time.
I laugh daily these days but once wept most nights.
I love deeply because I have experienced hatred.
God’s love was the opposite.
I can die today because I have lived for a long time.
I learned how to accept it recently because I also knew rejection.
I can show kindness cos I have seen meanness.
God’s love was the opposite.
I treasure health this year because sickness was unfriendly for a long time.
I use wealth wisely nowadays because poverty is my friend.
I am thrilled because sadness was not a good partner.
God’s love is the opposite.
I now understand peace because I have been to war for a long time.
I can easily bend better because I was torn many times before.
I articulately speak now because I was primarily silent and afraid.
God’s created opposites.
I freely dance today because I usually stood scared to shake for a long time.
I cannot give up because I have learned how to fight prayerfully.
I can gather everything well because I have scattered everything.
God’s love is the opposite.
I can trust God now because I was untrustworthy.
You cannot feel joy if you haven’t felt pain.
You will find success only after failure.
Has God’s love transformed you?
God’s love is the only opposite love.
Bible Verses about opposites
Though we are opposites, we can choose the best side.
This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.
A Time for Everything
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8.
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
