In a small country, east to the large ocean, there were many thatched houses. Among them, there was a big blue one with zinc windows. The family members who lived here were 12 years old Mbua, her three brothers, two sisters and parents. It was no secret to the neighborhood that the Mbua’s family loved sports and were great Physical Education students. However, Mbua’s best sport was football.
Every Friday evening and Saturday afternoon, as soon as the Mbua children are done with their home chores, they run to their neighbor’s small nearby grassy yard and start playing football. They would play every weekend even during the rainy season.
Other children around the neighborhood joined them, and it was always a noisy match, full of fun.
On Sundays, the Mbua children joined their father to watch football channels on the TV. They would scream together at every strike the players do, shout for joy when there’s a goal while clapping and jumping outside hitting pots with spoons when their favorite team wins.
The passion for football was more than a family hobby except that Mbua’s mother was never interested.
What did Mbua do with her best sport?
