What is the love of a mother?
This poem is dedicated to my beloved deceased mother. I still love you, Mummy Frida.
Destined at that time.
A wail so loud like the hurricane winds.
With teary joyful eyes, she wiped my tears.
Happy heart, I saw the smile.
Thirsty and hungry all the time.
Food and home she gave me.
Comfort in hidden hurt I felt.
Hope in a whispering voice she spoke.
Abandoned and thrown far from time.
Embarrassed and nurtured, she held me close.
Love beyond words my heart could hear.
Assuring peace that suppressed depression.
Rejected under the rain naked, not knowing the time.
Confused about who and what it was as the showers wiped the teardrops.
Seemingly hopeless and stressed, not counting the time.
In despair and broken inside without loud joy.
Happiness untold and joy restored.
Acceptance of peace is unexplainable.
(And the Lord answered) Can a woman forget her nursing child that she should not have
compassion on the son of her womb?
Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you. (Isaiah 49:15)
Joy is unspeakable, with no measurement in time.
The rest of my heart was unfounded in what I won.
Satisfaction of inner void beyond all situations.
Love is consistent and more profound than the sea.
The visions unfold to bless humans by God.
I speak of my birth and my mother’s love.
Bible Verses of the love of a mother
“As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you.”
“Can a mother forget her nursing child? Can she feel no love for the child she has borne?”
“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”
