The Lamb of God is Jesus Christ. He became the perfect sacrifice to die in our place on the cross. He was perfect, spotless, and without blemish in the sight of God and thus was able to take away the sins of the whole world. Because sin requires a perfect sacrifice as a substitute, and Jesus was without sin, He became the sacrificial Lamb so we no longer have to live under the control of sin. By His blood, we are set free. Hallelujah!
A lamb is a symbol of meekness and innocence. The poem below describes Jesus Christ as the lamb of God and what he came to do for us. Thank you, Jesus.
The Real Lamb
The lamb’s warm Winter jacket.
And Summer’s cooling canopy.
It provides the wool we use daily.
The whitish, brownish, or blackish sheepskin.
Also, when intertwined, it makes a human coat.
It is man’s sweater and scarf.
Twinning on a wooden, plastic, or iron pin.
Folded on the fingers as it turns on the floor.
Color blends make perfect clothes.
Double or triple crosses can design lots.
How can skin become a covering?
How does he have enough to spare?
Like a lamb, He visited the world.
Slaughtered on a public tree.
Jesus became humanity’s sin.
