When Huli wakes up in the morning, he greets everyone with a cheerful “Good morning Mama,” “Morning, Papa,” and “Hello, Nanny Susan.” He always wears a smile and is excited about the day ahead. Huli gets lots of hugs and kisses from everyone. He equally has chores.
Then, he goes to his room, opens the windows, and pulls down the curtain. After that, he brushes his teeth with his small white toothbrush and washes his face, putting on lotion. Huli arranges his colorful pillows and teddy bears on his bed. He cleans up his toys and puts them away in the game room. He also makes sure to put his dirty clothes in the hamper and pick up any rubbish from the floor.
Huli puts his bedtime book on the shelf and his pajamas in the closet. He changes into his daytime clothes and goes downstairs. After having breakfast and drinking milk with Julie, he helps clear the table and washes the cups and plates they used.
Happily, he takes the hose and waters the garden flowers for a little while. Later, Mama takes him to school, where he learns and plays with his friends. In the evenings, Huli helps by pulling out weeds from the garden and sweeping the front door stairs. Sometimes, when Nanny Susan does laundry, Huli helps fold his underwear, socks, and clothes.
Huli loves helping around the house, and he gets a special reward every week for his hard work. You can be like Huli and help with chores too, even when you’re just 4 years old. It’s a great way to be a big helper to your family!
Lesson: Even as a 4 year old, we can help our parents with chores.
