Did you know God is aware of everything we are experiencing?
2013 memories are flooding in.
Death visited me.
The pain made my heart numb.
Tears dried from my eyes.
My feelings went on holiday.
All thoughts were muted.
Words couldn’t cross the tall walls of my teeth.
Sick eyelids couldn’t hug each other.
My brain barely shared blood.
The cracked voice was loud but silent.
My nose was breathless.
The taste of food became tasteless.
Life was restored from heaven.
Joy came in the form of smiles.
Peace has been unmeasurable.
Hope for eternity is my inspiration.
God knows all things.

This poem encapsulates the hurdles I confronted in 2013. Amidst the agony, I came dangerously close to surrendering to despair, yet a divine intervention came to my rescue. Through the scriptures, God’s voice whispered, assuring me of His boundless love and omniscient understanding. In those trying moments, all I required was faith to lean on, trust to embrace, and belief to overcome.
