Future Perfect Progressive Tense

The future perfect progressive tense is also called the future perfect continuous tense. It refers to actions that will be ongoing up until a point in the future.

It doesn’t matter when the activity started, but it will continue for a specific period.

Example

By December, I will have been driving after my driving school graduation.

Exception: You cannot use non action verbs to make sentences in the future perfect continuous tense

Examples

I will have read 20 books by the end of the year.

We will have known each other for 20 weeks by February 2023.

How to make a negative future perfect progressive tense sentence

This is done by using the auxiliary not before the sentence structure

Example

She will not have been studying by the time we get to campus.

They will not have been cooking by 10 am. It is very early.

How to ask future perfect progressive questions

This is done by using the auxiliary will + subject + sentence structure.

Example

Will you have been working here for ten years by July?

Will Juliana have been studying for four years by next year?
