Sarah singing Christian songs at Antioch International church

I am a Christian

I am a Christian.

I love God.

God loves me.

His love is Himself.

Like John, I know I am his beloved.

I am a Christian.

I have weaknesses.

My tongue flips sometimes like Simon Peter’s.

My anger flares like Moses.

But I am reminded to be courageous like Joshua.

I am a Christian.

I don’t play the lyre or harp like David.

But I sing like Jehoshaphat’s battle Choir.

I mostly dance with a tambourine like Miriam.

And clap like the Israelites after winning a battle.

I am a Christian.

Praying for my flaws to disappear like Paul is what I did

Professing Christ at my workplace just like Daniel is my daily task.

I have had fears and still have many fears like everyone.

But I am committed to serving Jesus till my breathless time.

I am a Christian.

Like James, I have spoken and rebuked using the word.

I  lament sometimes like Prophet Jeremiah.

Yet I believe without a doubt God’s promise is true like Abraham’s.

That is why I am faithful even when I laugh like Sarah.

Who are you?

Christian Bible Verses

1 Pet 4: 16

Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.

Acts 11: 26

And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. For a whole year, they met with the church and taught a great many people. And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.

1 Corinthians 11: 26

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. Now I commend you because you remember me in everything and maintain the traditions even as I delivered them to you. But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Every man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but every wife who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head, since it is the same as if her head were shaven.

Acts 26: 28-29

Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” Paul replied, “Short time or long—I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.”

Acts 18:27

When Apollos wanted to go to Achaia, the brothers and sisters encouraged him and wrote to the disciples there to welcome him. When he arrived, he was a great help to those who by grace had believed.
