My name is Sarah, and I’m here to show you that the world is wide, God is faithful, and you don’t need a fortune to see it. After a decade of exploring 20 incredible countries across Africa and Asia as of 2026, I have built a wealth of real-world travel experiences. My goal is to pass that knowledge on to you, empowering every female travel fanatic to step out into the world with confidence and peace of mind.

My Passion
I believe that travel is more than just checking off destinations—it is a spiritual journey. I have watched sunsets over ancient cities in Japan, navigated bustling global markets in Kenya on a shoestring budget, and found quiet moments of prayer in coastal places in Singapore, I never dreamed I would visit. My philosophy is “you can only fight what you know”.
Through it all, I have learned that with the right preparation, any black woman can step out of her comfort zone to travel safely, confidently, and intentionally.

My Mission
Too often, women are told that traveling alone is either too dangerous or far too expensive. I started this blog to shatter those myths in 2021. You do not need an endless bank account to explore the world, and you do not have to compromise your peace or safety to do it.
On this site, I share practical strategies for making the most of every dollar, along with real-life safety tips designed specifically for African/any female travelers. But more than that, I focus on how to maintain a grounded, purposeful life while on the move.
- Smart Saving: Practical guides on affordable lodging hotels, budget flights, and low-cost exploration.
- Safety First: Vetted tips to help you navigate unfamiliar destinations by road in Africa with confidence.
- Intentional Living: Exploring ways to deepen your faith and live out your values while experiencing new cultures.

My story
Rooted in Heritage & Maternal Legacy
I am a proud Bakweri native from Buea, a beautiful mountain city in the Southwest Region of Cameroon.
My journey began in an average family, but my life was shaped by an extraordinary woman: my mother, the late Friday Malive Imbole. She was the bravest, smartest person I ever knew. She studied and lived in Europe, built a successful career, and constantly cooked foreign meals that expanded my worldview.
Watching her devour books inspired my own love for the arts, reading, writing, and teaching. She always told me I could do anything I set my mind to, leaving me with a mantra that guides me to this day: “No one can take away your knowledge.”
From International Law to a Heavenly Calling
For a long time, I was certain my future was in the courtroom. I pursued this passion fiercely, eventually completing a law school program at Handong Global University and earning three Master’s degrees in International Law. I realized my true desire was to teach the subject at a university level.
However, securing a professor position proved to be like searching for gold. Trusting a new path, I pivoted to teaching English—my first language. I had briefly taught at a French international school after my Bachelor’s of Law degree in 2010, but I never expected it to become my life’s work. Today, I see it clearly: teaching is my heavenly gift.
Stepping Out in Faith
My travel journey didn’t start with fearless backpacking. In 2011, I boarded my first international flight to Nigeria, vowing to explore the world to share my culture and learn about others. But by 2015, when I boarded a flight completely alone from Cameroon to move to South Korea, my hands were literally shaking.
In that moment of fear, I felt a distinct calling to step out into the unknown. I chose to let God author my steps rather than my anxieties.
Living the Dream: Education, Culture, & Adventure
What started as a leap of faith became a beautiful reality. By teaching online and in-person across countries like South Korea and Japan, the world has become my classroom.
As a secondary school history fanatic, traveling allows me to immerse myself in global cultures firsthand. This lifestyle has taught me the art of intentional living; budget travel wasn’t just a financial necessity, it became a spiritual lesson in finding abundance in simple moments.
Today, I am deeply fulfilled using my love for communication, reading, and writing to connect with the world.
My Desire: The World Is My Canvas
I am currently on an ambitious, faith-led mission to explore every corner of this beautiful earth. My ultimate goal is to travel to every single country on the planet, explore all 7 continents, and intimately experience the entire African continent.
Through this blog, I am documenting the raw reality, the deep history, and the divine grace found in global travel. I hope my journey inspires you to step past your fears and into your own calling.
